In the Silhouetteur, everyone can transform themselves into the figure they always wanted to be: Two wings turn one into an angel, a crown makes one become a king, a woolen blanket shapes one into a monster.
Thilo Hoffmann brings with the Silhouetteur the ancient tradition of shadow play into the modern age: the viewer sees the person standing on an illuminated box only as an outline – with simple props, which can be cut out of a cardboard box, for example, the person on the box can become another persona.
Hoffmann developed the silhouetteur with photography student Elias Al Ameri.
