“Tracing the ephemeral.” Dresden (2020)

An ephemeral museum accessible to the public on the main square in Dresden only for one day, yet an experience which is meant to leave a trace to the population of city. All along the perimeter of the Non-Museum, a series of golden marks, positioned two meters away from each other, physically trace on the square the absence, or rather, the presence of the museum space – also upon its dismantling.

Thilo Hoffmann’s intervention Golden Marks, as part of the initiative Non-Museum curated by DEI FUNK WuK with Frank Eckhardt and Andreas Sommerfeld, subtly intends to give visibility to the project, impressing on the surface of the public space the persistent nature of this ephemeral museum.
